Originally called 'Backwards & Forwards' as some of the songs were old, others very recent - the album 'Footprints in the Sand' was rechristened in April 2021.
I have songs scribbled on sheets of paper which have never made it into my live set list and some that made it but were quickly edged out by other new songs. I've revisited these songs with greater knowledge and experience after 50+ years of live performing. I've also covered songs by others – my favourite Rory Gallagher blues ballad and a song recorded by Cliff Richard. My good friend, singer song writer, Eric Barlow generously gifted two of his old songs from the 1980's – one of which – 'Too Lonely Now' you can sample right now ahead of the album release. There will be a sample on this recording of all the genres I've visited over the past 50 years of singing and playing alongside some fabulous musicians – I have been blessed with marvellous company on stage and occasionally in the studio. The title song 'Footprints' gets its first airing at St Joseph's Church on the morning of Sunday 25th April.... and here is a 'taster' for you
