The word is spreading…it seems like others want a piece of this unique action! With increased interest in the Friday night activity at the Claregate, the Dog & Doublet want to try and encourage more live music in addition to their successful open mic sessions. Tim, Mick & George take their particularly free-form approach to blues boogie into Wolverhampton City Centre - watch out for upcoming gigs.. If you like the blues and want to jam – come & join in. Tim & Mick first teamed up over 30 years ago and are honoured to have the services of Ex-Climax Bluesband drummer George Newsome in the driving seat. George has five albums to his credit with Climax between 1969 & 1973 - We are verging on ‘legendary’….!
*********************************************************************************** What's the Dog and Doublet like? "It's got the feel of a Birmingham venue - a traditional pub with an indie theme." Framed pictures of iconic bands such as Led Zeppelin, The Who and The Rolling Stones adorn the walls – as do retro Wolverhampton Wanderers images – and the venue sells a host of traditional beers. Chesterfield chairs and a log burner add further character to the venue, while a Union Flag is draped over the DJ area. The pub will also sell home-cooked food and offers free wi-fi.
